I’ll update when it goes on the ptr with initial impressions. Bonus points for aff since the corruption ring is massive for this challenge and unlike legion you can actually target it now. Doing it correctly I’d guess mm hunter or shadow priest with surrender to madness will probably have the easiest time. If such a strat would work again I’d put my money on venthyr balance druid but if its scaled its gonna be iffy. Twins is probably the one that is least relevant to look at due to class changes since every class eventually outscaled it and had a “cheese” strat where you just burned the boss before the fight got hard. And only because that gives you one “get out of jail card” so you can practice the fight longer, also because once you hit a certain point on the fight its basically over and the bad overlaps just stop happening.Ĭlosing the eye was an interesting one where different classes had different answers to the challenge, in this case I think havoc dh or arms warrior would be the easier ones to do this on if you are comfortable with doing mechanics quickly, alternatively frost dk if you are a bit slow to react and want to play p1 safe. God queen’s fury is a dance so once you know it its forever done, I’d recommend one of the classes available with an immunity ie arcane mage/ret pally. Beyond that sustain helps alot for this one, so uh dk, fury warrior, or feral druid might be good contenders if you want an easier time. For this reason I’d just go with one of the classes that you are comfortable with. Imp: I don’t remember this one too much but I got the impression that it was one of the ones most effected by gear, it was a joke if you outgeared it, but it was a nightmare if you undergeared it since adds got out of hand quickly. Having an interrupt was massive, but also just having damage stuns slows and speed for p1(the phase you spend the most time learning) was actually amazing.įeltotem, it was easy on everything in particular though disc was free since the challenge was scaled for a healer so as long as you don’t let yourself die you win. Healing challenge: I found resto shaman to be surprisingly well suited to the challenge at the time, I say surprisingly because at the time shaman was my least played class by a significant margin. You may even find the origins of some side quests here as well (for more information on any of those, consult the Side Quests section of this very guide).Tank challenge Demon hunter in legion by far the easiest, depending on tuning venthyr prot pally may be able to cheese it. A rogue can open the locked chest within here, and you should be otherwise able to gather the items strewn about elsewhere, in boxes, within piles of books and scrolls, et cetera. The good news is that there are plenty of items within this large room to find, so be thorough in your exploration. This room is in complete disarray, with the enemy monsters and demons having already run amok here. Begin by entering one of the first doorways you encounter on your right, as you traverse the circular corridor ahead of you. Once you're confident you're ready for the task ahead, you can then walk on through the door on your right to enter the dangerous, monster-filled tower.Ĭ: With the door locked behind you, you'll be able to explore a few rooms completely devoid of an enemy occupation. He has some powerful weapons and items, as well as a full cache of curative items and the like, so grab whatever you need. This man is the tower's quartermaster, and the only other person who will engage you in conversation here. Before doing that, however, you'll want to head to location B. The Mage's Tower is a Military Building that allows a player to craft Cloth Armor and Magic Weapons A Mage's Tower may be located in the main cities, Islands, or Home Territories. A vast majority of the tower has been cordoned off due to the demons and monsters running about, so once you cross the door to your right, you'll be locked inside the tower until everything is resolved (indeed, Greagoir warns you of this during your conversation with him). If you're successful in your endeavor, of course.ī: Following your conversation with Greagoir, you're free to explore the little "safe" area around you. If you offer to help them with their demonic possession problem, however, he'll offer his Templars up in return. This should compel Greagoir to pony up some Templars, but not surprisingly, they're a little busy right now. You can speak with him and tell him whatever you want, but ultimately, you'll be able to bring up the treaties the mages signed with the Grey Wardens way back when. Obviously, Greagoir is a little overwhelmed right now, what with evil beings taking control of virtually the entire tower he's charged to protect. A: As soon as you end up at the Mage Tower's entrance, thanks to your "good friend" Carroll, you'll be able to enter into a conversation with Greagoir, the leader of the Templars guarding this tower, and the mages within.
